Principal's Message

Dear Chehalem Families and Students,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Chehalem Elementary School.  I want to personally thank you for entrusting us with your precious children!  We take our responsibility to you and your children very seriously.  Our number one priority is to provide your children with a safe and fun learning environment in which they can thrive and grow.  Every day we work hard to empower students to make good choices, learn from their mistakes and to take responsibility for their words and actions.  We believe all children can be successful and it is our job to make sure that happens!

It is also our goal for each and every child to increase his or her academic achievement.  Whether your child is talented and gifted, or in need of additional support, we have systems in place to meet their needs.  At Chehalem, we believe that all children can be successful and it is our job to make sure this happens!

I look forward to working with students, parents and staff as we build a community of learners.  Throughout the year there will be opportunities for us to meet so that we can work together to create a safe, caring and supportive environment where learning is active, relevant, collaborative and valued.  We need your involvement and participation to make your child’s experiences at Chehalem the best it can be.  We welcome your questions, suggestions, concerns and recommendations so that we may know and understand what helps your child reach his or her full potential.
